Raleigh, NC – Non-profit Consumer Education Services Inc. (CESI) has launched a Small Business Counseling Program to help business owners grow and professionalize their business instead of struggling to manage business debt. The counseling program will provide financial expertise, business action planning and guidance along with a resource network to support the business owner.

The Small Business Counseling Program features six  1-hour sequential coaching sessions. Sessions will cover topics such as:

• Financial management
• Capital and credit
• Understanding business plans
• Tools for protecting your business
• Business financial statements and cash flow
• Maintaining business credit and more. 

Each small business owner will be paired with a Coach to help them over the course of the six month program.

This effort is part of an ongoing initiative that CESI has undertaken to eliminate barriers to financial security and asset building opportunities.

CESI launched the Community Loan Center of the NC Triangle in 2018 to provide employers in our local community with financial wellness programs and small dollar loans for employees that would benefit from credit counseling and coaching services to help address their personal financial situation. CESI continues to add programs and services to enhance traditional credit counseling with financial inclusion to promote financial inclusion.
